This notice explains the information used to operate Aham Books and the choices available to readers.
Information we process
We process account identifiers, email address, profile name, purchase and entitlement records, reader preferences, progress, bookmarks, notes, support messages, and metadata about personal PDFs you upload.
Why we use it
Information is used to authenticate users, fulfil purchases, provide downloads and reader continuity, prevent abuse, support customers, maintain security, and meet accounting or legal obligations.
Service providers
Google may provide sign-in, Razorpay processes checkout, Vercel hosts the application and private file storage, and database providers store application records. Translation is provided by MyMemory only after you explicitly approve sending the selected passage.
Payments
Aham Books does not receive or store full card or bank credentials. Razorpay handles payment details under its own privacy terms. We retain order identifiers, status, amount, currency, and entitlement records.
Personal PDFs
Personal PDFs are stored privately and delivered only after account authorization. Extracted text may be processed to support Reader Mode. Avoid uploading material requiring a higher confidentiality standard than this consumer service provides.
Retention and choices
Purchase records may be retained for legal and accounting needs. Reader state and personal uploads are retained while your account uses the service or until deletion is requested, subject to backup and legal-retention limits.
Requests
To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email support@theaham.in from your account email. We may need to verify identity before acting.
